As Head of Creative, I was responsible for running the Begame Creative Studio, providing marketing communications to the acquisition and retention teams across a range of house brands. Our multi-disciplined team made up of Creative, Digital and Motion were responsible for all  outputs across multiple products and markets. It was a creative and fast-paced environment that played an integral part of the company’s ongoing performance in the gaming market place.

My primary goal was to transform the Studio into an idea-driven Studio. Working from the Think Now, Design Later methodology, I strove to implement a strong creative process that stressed the importance of creative output from all individuals on the team. My main responsibilities include, driving ideas from concept through to execution by directing a team of internal designers along with external agencies.

Established, recruited and manage the in-house studio, plus outside advertising and production agencies, across the entire creative and delivery process. As a member of the marketing Leadership Team,
I’m responsible for delivering high performance online creative solutions to drive marketing KPI’s across acquisition and customer retention activity for all of Betfair’s core products and regions.
This is achieved by driving ideas from concept through to execution and directing designers within my team. Other responsibilities include improving efficiencies and effectiveness of briefing processes, brand strategy development, recruitment, cost control / saving programs, near and off shore agency management.

This role involved being the first point of contact for the internal Creative Service team, managing
client relationships, looking after key projects and providing team leadership where required. The Creative Services team was responsible for providing an innovative creative service, supporting both print and digital initiatives from POS, eMedia screen, DR banners, website design and OOH media.

Managed the internal Creative Services team overseeing the delivery of fully integrated TTL
campaigns for both the UK and European markets. Responsible for the smooth day to day running of the creative department including recruitment, process definition, and cost control/savings, but ensuring Betfair’s brand and long term strategy within the marketplace was executed correctly.

With strong digital marketing knowledge and client facing skills I was responsible for driving ideas from concept through to execution by directing and managing an internal team of developers and designers as well as offshore production agencies. During this time I specialized in the production of promotional micro-sites for a range of gaming products employing Agile or Waterfall principles depending projects requirements. I also acquired an in-depth knowledge of direct mail marketing from design to printer sourcing and final output.
